Gail Marlene Schwartz is an American writer living in St-Armand, Quebec. Her short story, “Inside, Crying,” was a finalist in the Malahat Review’s Open Season Awards in 2014, fiction category. Her essay, “Loving Benjamin,” received Honorable Mention from Room Magazine’s annual contest in 2012, creative nonfiction category. Her creative writing has been published in anthologies including How To Expect What You’re Not Expecting, TouchWood Editions, 2013; Best of Vine Leaves Literary Journal 2013; and Hidden Lives, Brindle and Glass, 2012. Gail’s essays and short stories have also appeared in Witty Bitches, Wilde Magazine, Sunday@6, Poetica Magazine, and Ms. Guided.
